I love the accidental snapshots at the beginning of a film roll. Usually I am not paying too much attention when I shooting the first two exposures, assuming that they are overexposed and lost anyhow. I always wanted the first photo to be "whole" and not missing it's other half to light. But the more rolls I shot the more I fell in love with these roll start images. I love how the edge is always different, sometimes soft, sometimes with its own beautiful border. So I started paying attention to even the first two exposures and have created a collection of really nice photographs since then.
This image here was taken at an exhibition in Birmingham (yes, we're already back there) about create crafts. It was an accidental shot but probably one of the ones that made me rethink roll start photographs.
